The Institute of Economy, Finance and Statistics (IEFS) is an organization from the

domain of science and innovation, created as a result of merging the Institute of

Economic Research of the Academy of Science of Moldova and the National Institute of

Economy and Information of the Ministry of Economy and Trade. The institute's domain

of activity consists in the realization of scientific researches in economy, finance,

statistics, reforming of social sphere and integration of the Republic of Moldova in world

economic circuit.

The main goal of the institute consists in the organization and realization of scientific

fundamen tal and applied researches on the evolution of economic and social processes

from the country, insurance of a stable economic growth, getting decent living

standards and high quality of life for the citizens
